SURGICAL PERIODONTAL THERAPY
If your periodontal condition is more severe, a surgical procedure
may be required. This is accomplished with local
anesthesia and employs gently lifting the gum tissue in
order to help facilitate cleaning the deeper portions
of the roots of the affected teeth. Additionally, a synthetic
bone material (bone graft) may
be placed if the bone loss is more advanced.
